Egypt Crisis

Tahrir Square, witnessed gathering of 4000 people demanding an end to regime of Hosni Mubarak. The point has become a rallying point for the protesters who are letting no stone unturned in their effort to overthrow tyrant Mubarak and bring and end to his 30 year old regime. The people are expressing their anger at poverty, repression and corruption in the Arab world's most populous nation and with forces joining the people's cause the Jasmine Revolution is spreading its roots in the whole Arab world shaking the thrones of dictators of Arab world.
The revolution is first of it's kind where the power of internet, social networking,micro-blogging has been a medium to bring the people to a common platform.Long oppressed under the regime of Mubarak and no place to vent out their anger people took micro blogging and sites like twitter as a place to vent out their frustrations.Thousands of people started expressing their long suppressed feelings and resentment against the rule by stick. And a whole new internet revolution was spreading to places. Even-though the government tried to curb freedom on media and internet it couldn't succeed in preventing the silent revolution from spreading and hay stack was set ablaze when  a student burned himself and the whole Egypt was set ablaze.
Though Mubarak has now agreed to step down as the President ending his son Gamal's long-predicted ambitions to take over but  the arrival of army troops to replace the police showed that Mubarak still has the support of the military, the country's most powerful force so their is still a bit of time left before Mubarak steps down from Presidency which would require protests to go on in full vigor which we see generally weaken if stretched longer.Another question that comes to mind is even if Mubarak steps down it will leave a power vacuum to fill.Though  ElBaradeiopposition leader is the most prominent contenders for the post it is seldom weak that he would be able to restore the peace ,law and order in time. And if there would be no one at the helm of power there is every chance of Mubarak returning back or one tyrant replacing another, because as history suggests that there have been many successful revolutions in Arab world before but due to lack of someone to steer them through turbulent the fate of Arab people has remained more or less  and every few years we see a new Arab country being formed due to arising differences between leader and masses.
S this time lets hope Egypt gets it right and our so called superpowers of world help the people of Egypt truly to give them a true democratic government and set as a role model for the rest of the Arab world to follow instead of restoring a puppet of theirs for their own good and leaving fate of millions of Arabs to follow the same vicious circle again.
